From Charity to Productivity: The FG-CAF Vision

Mr. Danel Georges 2026-06-01

The Problem with Charity Alone

For decades, Haiti has been flooded with aid. Yet dependency has only deepened. The FG-CAF program was born from a simple conviction: Haiti does not need charity. It needs productive capital.

How It Works

FG-CAF transforms diaspora generosity into guarantee deposits — collateral that unlocks productive loans for microentrepreneurs, farmers, and artisans. When a loan is repaid, the guarantee is released and supports another Haitian.

The Four Pillars

  1. Guarantee Deposits — Donor funds become collateral
  2. Mandatory Training — Every borrower completes financial literacy
  3. Mentorship — AVM volunteers mentor beneficiaries monthly
  4. Revolving Dignity — Repaid loans cycle to new beneficiaries

A New Model

This is not charity. This is structured solidarity — a revolving cycle of dignity that converts generosity into self-reliance.

From charity to productivity. From dependency to dignity.
